Lexington 2 passes motion on new school, groundbreaking April 18

The Lexington School District Two Board took action, Thursday night.
The Board approved the early site package and foundation installation for the new elementary school being built on Twelfth Street Extension and Bulldog Boulevard in Cayce.
Thompson Turner is the general contractor chosen to build the new school. The Board voted to proceed with the site and foundation work priced at $4,694,985.
The new school is being designed by Jumper, Carter, Sease to house the students from Davis Early Childhood Center for Technology and Taylor Elementary School.

The Board of Trustees also announced the groundbreaking for the new school will take place at 5:30 pm on Monday, April 18. That day was changed from an earlier date of April 14.
