Three Lexington School District 2 middle schools received Palmetto Silver Awards, Thursday, and one

Palmetto Gold Award was presented. Busbee, Pine Ridge and Fulmer Middle received Silver and Northside Middle received Gold. The awards were presented at Lexington 2’s Board meeting, Thursday night.

The Palmetto Silver and Gold Awards program is designed to recognize schools for attaining high levels of performance, and attaining high rates of academic growth.  The schools awarded also made substantial progress in closing the achievement gap. The gold was given for general performance.
