Lexington 2 honors its Teachers of the Year

Lexington Two recognized its district Teachers of the Year during a reception Thursday, at the Lexington Two Innovation Center.

Teachers were congratulated by School Board members and Superintendent Dr. Brenda Hafner and they received engraved glass apples and financial awards. Lexington Two’s District Teacher of the Year Anne Reamer received the $1,000 Mary Meech Mungo District Teacher of the Year Award, given by the Mungo Foundation in memory of Mary Meech Mungo, who herself was a longtime public school educator in Columbia. Also this month, Lexington Two’s Teachers of the Year will be featured on different billboards in the district.

  • Brookland-Cayce High School Teacher of the Year: Sherman Crosland
  • Busbee Creative Arts Academy Teacher of the Year:  Hunter Reese 
  • Cayce Elementary Teacher of the Year: Brittany Bundrick
  • Congaree Elementary Teacher of the Year:  Carolyn Lowman
  • Fulmer Middle School Teacher of the Year: Bryant Stewart
  • New Bridge Academy Teacher of the Year: Lesley Ray
  • Northside Middle School Teacher of the Year: Lana Ward
  • Pine Ridge Middle School Teacher of the Year: Jane Kingsland
  • Riverbank Elementary School Teacher of the Year: Jennifer Davis
  • Saluda River Academy of the Arts Teacher of the Year: Melissa Drew
  • Springdale Elementary School Teacher of the Year: Kathlyn Kyzer
  • Wood Elementary School Teacher of the Year:  Anna Estes
