Due to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, after-school activities are canceled on Friday, March 3, 2023. 

The one exception is after-school care at the elementary schools. However, families are encouraged to pick up their children before 6 p.m. to avoid being on the roads when the forecast calls for the greatest chance for high winds.

Dismissal times Friday, March 3, at Lexington Two schools will run on a normal schedule.

District administrators were notified late this morning by Lexington County Emergency Services that the updated forecast calls for frequent wind gusts around 40 mph after 6 p.m. As a safety precaution, after-school activities are being canceled due to the potential for hazardous travel conditions, including strong wind gusts that make it unsafe for bus transportation.
