Animal Control Officer Leigh Summers received the whole sole award. Summers is known for knowing which pet belongs to whom when she receives a report of a straying animal. Summers received the award at Tuesday’s council meeting.

She knows where the pets live and is always working to aid owners to find lost pets, especially for animal owners with health issues. Summers was nominated by Sgt. Paul Default.
