Irmo Fire crews were on the scene of a kitchen fire in an apartment building at 2038 Lake Murray Blvd. The weekend fire was extinguished by the building’s sprinkler system. Crews worked to remove water and restore power. There was damage to two apartments and one person suffered a minor injury. The rest of the units in the building were not damaged and residents were allowed to return to them.
