The Comedy Closet in West Columbia held its ribbon cutting Thursday afternoon with the Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce.

The Comedy Closet is at 735 Meeting Street. It’s owned by West Columbia’s John Gibson (with the scissors in the photo.) He said at the ribbon-cutting he is happy to be opening his business in West Columbia, and he loves the city.

The Comedy Closet is West Columbia’s only comedy venue. It offers comedy shows in an establishment with an intimate setting, beer and wine bar, food, and games. The Comedy Closet also feature an acoustic music night. There are also Comedy 101 classes at The Comedy Closet.
