Jin Jin Chinese Restaurant in West Columbia’s Capitol Square is closing

Jin Jin Chinese Restaurant in West Columbia’s Capitol Square announced in a Facebook post that it is closing after 29 years in business, as its “lease comes to an end.” The post indicates that the owners hope to open another restaurant at some point. Jin Jin is at 469 Sunset Boulevard.

House of Raeford moved its offices from Capitol Square in the last year and the Army-Navy store and the Habitat Re-Store have closed, too. There is no other business open in Capitol Square. Part of the parking lot is a free parking spot for River District patrons going to hospitality venues like Savage Craft Ale Works, Ds Wings, and Terra.

The announcement was posted Saturday. Some of the content of the Jin Jin announcement is below.

“It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closure of Jin Jin Chinese Restaurant after 29 years of serving this wonderful community. We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support, loyalty, and companionship throughout these cherished years.

……Hopefully one day we will serve this wondaful community again.”
