It’s New Year’s Eve – Fireworks ordinances in effect in West Columbia, Cayce, Lexington, Springdale and Lexington County
West Columbia: In the City of West Columbia Fireworks can only be discharged from 9 AM on December 31 through 1:30 AM on January 1, 2025.
Cayce: As we all look to celebrate the new year, our City, City of Cayce Police Department and City of Cayce Fire Department want you to be safe!
The discharging or shooting of fireworks within city limits is permitted between the hours of 10:00 AM on December 31 and 1:00 AM on January 1 only!

Town of Springdale: Allows fireworks beginning at 9 a.m. on Dec. 31 until 1:30 a.m. on Jan 1.
Lexington County: If you plan to shoot off fireworks for the New Year…just a reminder…there is a noise ordinance in the unincorporated areas of Lexington County!
-On New Year’s Eve fireworks can be shot until 12:30 a.m. on Jan. 1.
– If deputies see someone shooting any fireworks after 12:30 a.m., that person could receive a noise ordinance violation ticket, which carries a fine of $150.
-On New Year’s Day fireworks can be shot from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.
Lexington: As everyone is planning their New Year’s Eve celebrations, please be aware of the updated Town of Lexington, SC noise ordinance which allows for fireworks to be discharged from 10:00 a.m. until 12:30 a.m.
Please be considerate of your neighbors and pick up all fireworks debris in the roadway or common areas of your neighborhood after your celebration.
If fireworks noise persists after 12:30 a.m., please call 803-359-6260 and an officer will be dispatched to the area.
