The Irmo Little League Baseball Team came from behind Wednesday to defeat Midwest (South Dakota.) Irmo (Southeast) scored 6 runs in the bottom of the last (7th) inning to win the game. Irmo is representing the Southeast in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Irmo entered the bottom of the 7th down by a score of 6-1, but rallied to win the game on a base hit to right field that scored 2 runs, including the game winner.

In the 7th, Sutton Gravelle singled on a fly ball after 2 walks, allowing Palmer Steele to score. Next, Brayden Gerard doubled and Ethan Bennett scored. A walk gave Irmo bases loaded with no outs with the score at 6-3. Back-to-back bases-loaded walks added 2 runs for Irmo, to make the score to 6-5.

Then Andrew Bogan doubled on a line drive, scoring two runs, for the 7-6 Irmo win.

With the win, Irmo moves on to the US semifinals for a rematch against the Mountain on Thursday at 7 p.m.
