Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher, has identified the individual who died in a multiple-vehicle accident in the 1800 block of N. Lake Drive shortly at approximately 6:45 p.m. Friday.

According to Fisher, Mr. David E. Burk, 52, of Irmo who was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the collision, was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupants of the other vehicles involved were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
