
Irmo Fire District responded to two crashes Wednesday afternoon
Crews from the Irmo Fire District responded to two crashes Wednesday afternoon. The first one was on I-26 westbound, just past St Andrews Road. It was a three-car collision that blocked the right lane. Injuries were minor, according to the IFD.
There was also a wreck at Harbison Boulevard and St Andrew’s Road. It was more serious. A four-car crash is blocked the intersection, and one vehicle ended up on its side. Emergency crews had to use the “Jaws of Life” to remove the occupants of the vehicle. Injuries were moderate but not life threatening, according to the IFD.
