Industrial park planned for Columbia Metropolitan Airport
Magnus Development is planning a speculative industrial park at Columbia Metropolitan Airport.
It will be called 803 Industrial Park and consist of almost one-million sq.-ft.,
Ground will be broken on the complex’s 204,120-sq.-ft. Building 1 is scheduled in 2021. Colliers International, with airport marketing, will lease the property.
“Without a doubt, this partnership will capitalize on the expansive, underdeveloped land in and around the Columbia Metropolitan Airport. With the experience and industry knowhow that both Magnus Development Partners and Colliers International bring to the table, the economic possibilities and regional benefits are endless,” said Mike Gula, Columbia Metropolitan Airport director.
The park is near the UPS regional air and ground hubs and a Norfolk Southern rail terminal. It’s within a mile of I-26 and within 2 hours of the Port of Charleston.
Building one will feature a 130-foot deep truck court, up to 57 dock-high doors, 72 trailer drop spaces, 32-foot clear heights and LED lighting. The building will be subdividable for users needing as little as 34,020 sq.-ft.
Plans call for three other buildings, 1 up to 204,120 sq.-ft. . The other 2 are 408,240 sq.-ft. and 157,500 sq.-ft.
