I-20 was shut down for a while, Wednesday after truck caught fire

Traffic was delayed on I-20 Westbound at the 42-mile marker (Marcellus Rd.) after the interstate was shut down, Thursday afternoon. The delay was due to a tractor-trailer on fire. Lexington County Fire crews responded to the incident, which was reported at 3 p.m.

At 4 p.m., Lexington County Fire Service units were clearing the scene and turning it over to the South Carolina Highway Patrol. One lane remained closed for a while as crews removed the tractor-trailer from the road and cleaned up the area.
