Irmo Fire District crews with assistance from Columbia Fire Department (SC) responded to a residential structure fire in the 200 block of Braewick Road in Irmo shortly after 9 Tuesday morning.

There was extensive damage to the house, but there were no injuries, not even the pets, according to the IFD.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
