Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who was shot at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Friday  (April 29.)

The shooting occurred, according to Fisher,  in the 1200 block of Meadowfield Road in Gaston.

The person shot was Ryan Williams, 21, of Swansea.

An autopsy performed on Williams indicated that he suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.

The incident remains under investigation by the Lexington County Coroner’s Office and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.
