Some houses are finished and people are moving in to a new West Columbia development.

The Stillwater neighborhood is just off Highway 1 (Augusta Road) behind Hobby Lobby. It’s not far from Hite’s BBQ. Construction began on the homes in the summer.

Great Southern Homes is building the single-family attached homes. The development is approximately four miles to Columbia downtown, and less than one mile from Interstate 26, according to the company’s website.

The community is beside Westside Plaza Shopping Center, and close Walmart. The Great Southern Website says the development is also close to health care, large employers, the convenient shops of Cayce and West Columbia, dining and groceries, and it is served by excellent schools.

These new single-family attached home plans designed by Great Southern Homes are typically 1,343 square feet in size with three bedrooms and two and a half baths.
