Homeless man found dead in Lexington, died of natural causes
Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the individual who was found dead Tuesday, in a wooded area off of Chariot Street in Lexington.
Dennis E. Reidy, 69, of Lexington was found dead, according to Fisher. Reidy’s body was discovered by a local resident in the 100 block of Chariot Street at approximately 11 a.m.
An autopsy, performed Wednesday. It concluded that Reidy’s death was the result of natural circumstances. Reidy, who was a homeless U.S. Veteran, appeared to have been staying in a makeshift shelter in the wooded area where he was discovered.
The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department was also involved in the investigation.
