Hillary Clinton event attracts capacity crowd in West Columbia

Clinton’s speech had a capacity crowd and access to it was denied.

An attempt to get into the Hillary Clinton speech at the Brookland Baptist Church Conference Center was denied, Thursday morning.

A representative of the U.S. Secret Service  said the fire marshal had closed the event to any more audience because the room was at capacity.

Clinton is the former U.S. Senator from New York and U.S. Secretary of State. She is running to be the Democratic Party’s nominee in 2016 for the President of the United States. Presidential candidates have been visiting South Carolina frequently. The state has one of the earliest 2016 primaries in the nation, and it is the first primary in the South.
