Gray Collegiate Softball Shut Out Latta 7-0, Monday to Take Game 1 of the 2A State Championship Series in high school softball. Monday’s game was at Latta. It’s Gray’s first ever state championship series. The second game of the series is Wednesday at 1839 Dunbar Road in Cayce. With a win Wednesday, Gray will take the best of 3 game series.

Aaliyah Irving-Jones had 3 RBI in the first inning after she hit a ball misplayed by the Latta shortstop. Brooke Tatum and Madox Long also drove in runs. Pitcher Taylor Corley struck out 6 and got the win.
