Gray Collegiate Academy Football Coach said he is stepping down
Gray Collegiate Academy Football Coach Dyquan Adams, in a Facebook post Tuesday, said he he is stepping down as Gray’s coach.
He said “I decided to (step down ) as coach at Gray Colligate. No they didn’t let me go it was my decision. I know I don’t have to explain myself to people outside of the school. You got to do what the lord tells you to do. I enjoyed my 3 and a half years here. Not out of coaching just not now. I need breathing room and I have alot of things going on and coaching right now is a bit too much. I will still be around but for now it’s just too much. Been a rough year to my health was played a part and other things but it was God trying to get my attention. So he has it now and I got to do what I got to do.”
He also posted: Not the end of coaching just not right now….Statement from the school will come later
There was a response on the Gray Collegiate Academy Facebook page. It is posted below:
“We appreciate all Coach Adams has done for our football and track programs at Gray. Dr Newsome, Principal at Gray, stated, “Coach Adams loves kids and he loves Gray. He has given a tremendous amount of time and energy to our students and school as a whole, and we respect the fact that now is a time for him to step away. We wish him nothing but the best in the future and hope he can visit soon”.
