Gray Collegiate Academy beat Pelion, 9-2, Monday in the SC High School Leagues baseball Upper State playoffs. The game was played at the Midlands Sports Complex in Pine Ridge.
The two teams were competing to move to the State Championship series.

Brookland-Cayce defeated Beaufort, Monday, 5-4, in the Lower State State playoffs. Chris Bullis, and eight-grader was the winning pitcher. The game was played at BC. The Bearcats will now travel to Hanahan to play Wednesday in another Lower State playoff game.
