Gervais Street Bridge Dinner scheduled for Oct. 10 postponed because of COVID

The Gervais Street Bridge Dinner scheduled for Oct. 10 has been postponed because of a spike in COVID cases. The organizers of the Bridge Dinner has done their best to navigate the current COVID climate, that include the Delta variant. The organizers hope is to be a solution to the issue by being conscious and proactive in order to keep our community safe and well.

Throughout COVID-19 the Gervais Street Bridge Dinner has adapted, implemented new protocols, and momentarily changed time of year; though acclimating has had its fair share of challenges, it was necessary in order to keep our citizens safe. Over the course of the past several weeks, it has become evident to the organizers that the community needs their support in the battle of COVID-19.

The Gervais Street Bridge Dinner has always been an exemplary example of harmony. The largest dinner in the Columbia metropolitan area successfully synchronizes two municipalities, the generosity of the business community, and the finest of the restaurant and hospitality scene to produce a true one-of-a-kind event. It exemplifies Columbia’s BEST!

The midlands community has shown its philanthropic soul time and time again by supporting the Gervais Street Bridge Dinner and chosen beneficiaries. Communal support is what takes the bridge dinner to new heights.
