On Friday evening, Sept. 12, the annual Tunnel to Towers 5K will take place. The race trail has portions in Cayce, West Columbia and Columbia.

The run will begin in the City of Columbia and flow west into West Columbia, then enter the City of Cayce via Alexander Road. Runners will then turn left onto Knox Abbott Drive and head back into Columbia.

The race starts at 7:00 PM, but road closures along the route will begin around 6:45 PM.

Alternate Routes:

• Motorists needing to travel into Columbia should use the Jarvis Klapman Bridge or I-77, both of which will remain open.
