Frink Street Sidewalk Project is progressing in Cayce
The effort to install sidewalks on Frink Street in Cayce is moving forward. The Frink Street Sidewalk Project, by the SCDOT, extends a sidewalk from State Street to the Foreman Street area. There is also a plan, through Lexington County, for a sidewalk from Forman Street, down Frink Street, to James Street.
The area where the sidewalk is being placed in the District of Cayce City Councilman Byron Thomas.
“I’m so happy to see the Frink Street sidewalk project come to life,” Thomas said. “This will help connect our residents to local businesses and provide a safer way for people to walk throughout our city. While the current project is planned to end at James Street, I will continue advocating for sidewalks along all of Frink Street to connect to Charleston Highway. We’ve sadly lost lives on Frink Street, and I want to see a Cayce where everyone can feel safe walking throughout our community.”
