Friday’s rainfall sets winter record – Video link included
It rained all day Friday. Sometimes the rain was very heavy. The Columbia Metropolitan Airport received 4.16 inches of rainfall, according to the National Weather Service. It was the highest daily amount recorded at the airport during the Winter (Dec-Feb.)In Cayce, West Columbia and Lexington, roads were closed because of flooding.
