New Brookland Tavern is moving to Five Points in Columbia on Saturday. The building housing New Brookland Tavern was sold, according to an announcement in late September.

The first show in the New Brookland Tavern’s new location is Saturday Dec. 30. The last show at the 122 State Street location in West Columbia is Friday (Dec. 29) and features Seqouyah Prep School.

New Brookland Tavern has been an institution in West Columbia. It is one of the oldest continuous running music venues in the Columbia area. It is known for presenting live music year round. New Brookland will now be housed in The Cotton Gin bar building on Harden Street in Five Points, across from the Bluetile Skateshop.
