The South Carolina Department of Transportation has closed and detoured Forts Pond Road in Lexington County due to a washout on a dam spillway. As part of this closure, a signed detour has been put in place.

SCDOT is working with other state agencies to get the road repaired. SCDOT will provide updates as information becomes available.

SCDOT asks that drivers slow down and pay attention when driving near the work zone.
