Former Gray Collegiate and Clemson Quarterback Hunter Helms was honored with a resolution by the West Columbia City Council, Tuesday.
Helms will join the Clemson coaching staff of Dabo Sweeney this summer.
Helms played quarterback at Gray Collegiate Academy before moving on to Clemson where he became the Tigers’ No. 2 quarterback. Helms left Clemson for the University of Rhode Island for the 2024 football season. There, he started 5 games and helped the Rams win 11 games and a first-round playoff game.
