Flash flood warning was issued overnight for Cayce, West Columbia, more rain forecast

A Flash Flood Warning that included Columbia, West Columbia, and Cayce were in effect until 12:45 AM Tuesday, according to the Natioan Weather Service.

The NWS said: “Heavier showers now moving back into the region from the southwest and should spread over the central and eastern Midlands this evening. Rainfall rates up to an 1 in/hr possible at times will lead to ponding of water on roads so motorists are urged to use caution.

Clouds, showers and rain continue Tuesday through Thursday. Some rain will be heavy at times. The high Tuesday will be in the upper 50s.

Expect rain Wednesday and some rain Thursday. A cold front moves out by Friday and more sunshine is forecast. Lows until Sunday night will be in the low 40 to upper 30s.
