Fire crews from West Columbia, Lexington County, Irmo, and Columbia fought a large fire at an apartment complex in Lexington County Saturday. Several firefighters suffered minor injuries fighting the blaze.

The fire was at Peachtree Place Apartments on Berryhill Road in Seven Oaks near Irmo.
The fire was first reported around noon and was not placed under control until about 4 p.m.

No civilians were injured and there were only minor injury to firefighters. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. It is believed the building – the portion that burned- is a total loss.
