Columbia Fire Department crews along with the Irmo Fire District put out an apartment fire that broke out at Lexington Green Condos Friday morning.

Crews responded to the property off of the 1200 block of Bush River Road just before 9:15 a.m. Black smoke was seen pushing from one apartment and the roof line upon our arrival and this prompted officers on scene to call for a 2nd Alarm.

Firefighters were able to quickly get into the apartment where the fire started and get the situation under control. No injuries reported and fire damages were contained to one apartment.
The cause of the fire will be investigated by the Richland County Fire Marshal’s Office.
