UPDATE: The fire is out. Two firefighters were transported to the hospital for observation after sustaining minor injuries. Fire officials say there was around $200,000 in damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation

Initial Report: Multiple fire services units have responded to a call from Lexington Villas, around the 1300 building of Laryn Lane. It was reported by the Lexington Police Department around 1:30 p.m. Friday.

There is a structure fire, there, threatening multiple residential units. The fire, police say, is toward the backside of the neighborhood, according to the Lexington Police Department. The neighborhood is located off of Whiteford Way. Please avoid the area until Lexington County Fire Services contain the scene.
