Fire causes $160,000 in damages to house in Lexington

Lexington County Fire Services and Lexington County EMS units responded to the 200 block of Mockingbird Drive in Lexington Saturday morning in reference to a residential structure fire.

Upon arrival, heavy flames and smoke were observed coming from the home. Fire units began working to put out the blaze from the exterior of the house. Firefighters extinguished the fire.

Two people were displaced, but no injuries were reported. The American Red Cross of South Carolina is assisting the displaced residents.
In total, an estimated $160,000 in damages was caused by the fire. Investigators are working to determine the cause and origin. Lexington County photos.
