You can call her a treasure hunter.

Cayce’s Dell Price likes to shop, and she is an expert at getting the best price for quality merchandise.

Price has learned how to find deals that as so good, she gets paid to shop.

“I get a thrill when I find that special deal,” said Price.

When her parents we’re homebound- Price left her job to care for them. Her parents – now deceased- were Herbert and Emily Floyd Price. While in the situation of helping them, she learned the value of having a personal shopper.

“I shop for the elderly,” said Price. She goes to upscale consignment shops where there can be gems hidden in the pile. She can find special gifts for people that are unique. Besides apparel Price buys art, crystal, antiques, china and just about anything of value.

“I know the labels,” she said. “And I know what clients are looking for. I know their personal tastes.”

Price – who is a longtime member of State Street Baptist Church – said a missionary family used her services.

“Their daughter needed clothes. I outfitted her for practically nothing,” said Price. And all that Price found was of the highest quality.

With the thrill of the deal as her motivation, Price said she’d love to expand her client base.

Price, who has been in real estate and administration, is paying for the upkeep of her home. And has had medical bills incurred in the past. “This is how I survive,” she said of her shopping business.

Price said she will take on clients at any level.

“There are people with demanding job. They don’t have time to look. I’d love to buy for executives,” Price said.
