The  Cayce Department of Public Safety  at approximately 3:30 a.m., Tuesday,  responded to a call of a house fire on Lexington Avenue in Cayce. Upon arrival, officers found the back part of the home engulfed in flames and a female victim who was severely burned. She is being treated at an area hospital.

Cayce Public Safety officers located the suspect and he is being treated for burns at an area hospital. He will be charged with attempted murder, arson and other related charges.

Later Tuesday Robert Rome Green.was arrested and charged in connection to the case. He was previously charged with violating a no trespass order at the home of the victim in July of this year.
