Federal Summer Meals Program available at several locations

Lexington School District Two / Sodexo, Inc., will participate in the federally-funded child nutrition USDA-SFSP-Logo-2program.

It provides free, nutritious lunch meals to help children in needed areas get the nutrition they need to learn, play and grow throughout the summer months when they are out of school.

The motto of the program is “Hunger Doesn’t Take a Vacation.” Just as learning does not end when school lets out, neither does a child’s need for Children eligible to participate in the summer feeding program are those who are 18 years of age and younger and 19 and older with a physically or mental disability as defined by the SC Department of Education.
Those determined by the applicable state agency to be mentally or physically disabled and who participate during the school year in a public or private non-profit program for mentally or physically disabled persons.
Sites are open on a first-come, first-served basis to all children of the community at large.
