The West Columbia Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday night, according to WLTX-TV. Click here to see TV report

According to the West Columbia Police Department police units responded to a report of a shooting in the 800 block of Central Drive (off of Sunset Blvd) at approximately 10:30 p.m.

Police found a wounded man at the scene who was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The police report said it is believed to be an isolated incident with no known threat to the community.
