There was a traffic accident involving a fatality, near the I-20 Augusta Road (US 1) off ramp in West Columbia.

The fatal collision happened about 7 p.m. Saturday on the I-20 eastbound 58 mile marker, according a report from the S.C. Department of Public Safety.
A car left I-20 off ramp and hit a tree. The car caught fire and burned. Crews were on the scene of the crash until about 11 p.m.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating. No more information has been released.
