Family devastated by shooting death of young Lexington husband

Wesley J.Warren- Camp , 26, died after being shot Friday night at a company Christmas party of Southern Dreams Realty in Lexington.
Camp was a former baseball player for Pelion High School and Newberry College. His death has rocked the family
“We are devastated,” said Angie Diaz of Cayce, Camp’s mother-in-law. Camp’s widow is Diaz’s daughter, Ashlan. The couple had been married for a little more than a year.
The Newberry College Baseball Alumni has set up the Wesley J. Warren-Camp Memorial Fund for Ashlan.
Diaz said the family is making funeral plans Monday.
She also said words cannot express the sorrow and pain her daughter is experiencing.
Diaz said the death has made her feel “so sad and helpless.” She also said “Please pray for our families and the strength for me to help my daughter.”
