Fall Rhythm on the River begins Friday – City providing shuttle service from parking lots

The Greater Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Rhythm on the River Fall Series, presented by House of Raeford and the City of West Columbia, begins Friday.
The Fall concert series has been moved (from Sunday afternoons) to Friday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. It’s at the Riverwalk Amphitheater in West Columbia.
“We listened to our audience and that’s why we moved it to Friday,” said Richard Skipper, executive director of the C-WC Chamber.
Skipper also said there is a shuttle from a couple of parking lots in the area to the Riverwalk Amphitheater.
The concert will be a homecoming of sorts for the performers.
Friday’s band, “Going Commando” Skipper said played the first Rhythm on the River concert ever, more than 10 years ago. The band has not played Rhythm on the River since.
