Expect short-term delays if you are traveling on I-20 Eastbound between mile marker 51 and 62 in Lexington County. The delays, according to a SCDOT announcement, are because of power line installation on the nights of Friday (Jan. 31) Sat. (Feb. 1) and Sunday (Feb. 2.)

The work is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m each night and it’s expected to last until approximately 5 a.m. on each of the three days.

Traffic will not be stopped but will be slowed down/paced with the assistance of SC Highway Patrol trooper. SCDOT and the Highway Patrol remind drivers to slow down, avoid distractions and follow traffic signs and warnings within existing work zones and operations.
