The Lexington Police Department reported a collision on South Lake Drive around 2:15 p.m. Monday. As a result the outbound lanes of the road that leads to I-20 were closed for approximately one hour.

A vehicle involved in the incident was turned on its side, with the driver trapped inside. According to police, Lexington County Fire Services and EMS responded to the incident, and extracted the entrapped driver.

The driver was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

All lanes of South Lake Drive/SC-6 at I-20 reopened as of 3:30 p.m. and the collision had been cleared from the road.
