Lexington County Fire Service responded to a call regarding a structure fire in the 3300 block of Augusta Highway in Gilbert around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday. According to a Facebook post about the fire, pets were rescued from the home.

Upon arrival, fire crews found a fire involving solar panels on the roof of the structure. Crews worked the fire through the attic. The scene was brought under control in about 20 minutes with no injuries reported. Lexington County EMS and the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department assisted with operations.
