Earthquake reported overnight, near Cayce
An earthquake was reported in the Cayce-West Columbia area early Thursday morning.
The the U.S. Geological Survey said a 2.0 magnitude earthquake was reported 1.7 miles from Cayce.
West Columbia Assistant Police Chief Scott Morrison said the department’s “Computer Aided Dispatch” did not register an earthquake.
The rumbling and shaking could be felt at 3:45 a.m. and had a depth of 0.8 kilometers. It could be felt in the Sunset Boulevard area of West Columbia.
No damage or injuries were reported.
