A collision with injuries occurred at Sunset Blvd. (US-378) and Old Cherokee Road in Lexington, Friday morning. It caused several lane closures. Lanes reopened around 10:30 a.m., according to Lexington Police.

Police asked drivers to be alert to emergency personnel on the scene and directing traffic.

The collision was caused by a distracted driver who disregarded the red light.
