The City of Cayce will conduct a public hearing and second reading of its 2024-2025 budget at 5 p.m. on June 26, at the Cayce City Hall on 12th Street. Details of the budget are outlined in a flyer (below) published by the city. City of Cayce’s Facebook page

The budget contains a tax increase of $6.67 per month on a $250,000 owner-occupied home. There is also a proposed increase in the water and sewer rate for Cayce customers that would equate to under $9 a month.

The flyer notes that the cost for gas has risen by 33 percent since 2019, and the consumer price index (CPI) has increased by 21 percent. Many other costs to run the city have gone up too, according to data released by the city.
