Dr. Nicolas Wade resigns as Lexington 2 School District superintendent
Dr. Nicolas Wade has resigned as Lexington School District 2 superintendent. A letter announcing his resignation was sent to district personnel, Wednesday morning. The content of that letter is below.
It is with great regret that I inform you of my intention to resign from Lexington Two as I move on to other professional opportunities that will allow me to further practice my philosophy of serving all students, supporting all schools, and helping all communities. I have been extraordinarily fortunate to have such a wonderful district assist me in helping me and my family acclimate as we relocated and became part of the greater Lexington Two community.
A lot has transpired these past two (2) school years, and I just want to emphasize, again, how proud I am of all of you with how you handled yourselves personally and professionally throughout the pandemic and in your commitment in providing new and supportive opportunities for our students and families. We have been able to show those around us that we are not, in fact, several smaller communities, but can serve as “One District.”
As always, thank you for everything you do and will continue to do for Lexington Two students and families. I have and will continue to look fondly on my time here in the district as we all championed for children.
