Dr. Charles Jackson of Brookland Baptist Church is in his 50th year as a pastor.
On Monday State Sen. Nikki Setzler announced that Jackson has been honored by the South Carolina Senate. Setzler posted a photo and the message below on Facebook:

“Honored to present my dear friend, Dr. Charles Jackson, with a resolution celebrating his 50th pastoral anniversary. He has made a profound impact through Brookland Baptist on our entire community. We are so grateful for his leadership and service. Congratulations!”
