Beginning at 8 a.m., Sunday, Dominion Energy installed ropes on the new electricity transmission structures. The structures are at North Lake Drive (SC-6) and Columbia Avenue (US-378.)

Dominion is using a helicopter to fly ropes across the road and a series of eight roads were closed. The work was expected to continue through the day. The Lexington Police Department asked that drivers be watchful if driving in the area. Officers are be assisting with the road closings. (LPD photo)
